More specifically, I'm asking about the fitness test before basic training. Why do men have to do two pull-ups where as women have to do the flexed-arm-hang? What is the difference between the two? And what is the significance of that difference? Why are the fitness requirements different for men then for women in the marines?Men and women have different muscle structures so naturally they have different requirements. This is all branches and most women in my unit laugh at the requirements as its to easy for them. Why are the fitness requirements different for men then for women in the marines?Because typically females are more build with fat because of their capabilities in producing a human being. Males typically more built with muscle.
To be honest the females requirements should be closer to the requirements for males than the standards right now.Why are the fitness requirements different for men then for women in the marines?Because they are also different for age groups as well silly!!!Why are the fitness requirements different for men then for women in the marines?
It's called gender inequity, which would be against the law if it were the other way around!
