Why are Bananas recommended when you begin a fitness regimen?

When you look at fitness sites, it says eat lots of bananas and Peanut butter. I understand that you eat peanut butter for its protein. But why bananas?Why are Bananas recommended when you begin a fitness regimen?bananas are very good, especially post workout. The potassium will help with muscle recovery, and the fact that bananas are simple carbs, is another reason why they are best post workout. This is because when you consume your protein shake, you want a simple carb as it digests quickly, and will cause an insulin spike allowing better absorption for the protein to begin repairing muscle tissue. I have a banana along with a protein shake 20 min after my workout, been working for me! :)Why are Bananas recommended when you begin a fitness regimen?Bananas are really the perfect pre-workout fuel. You get simple carbohydrates for an immediate energy kick and potassium to maintain good electrolyte levels.
