What to look for in a fitness trainer?

I live in Michigan and it would be my first personal/ fitness trainer. I am not sure what to look for in my trainer. Also, If any of you could let me know how much a trainer charges, that would be very helpful in making sure, i am not charged more.What to look for in a fitness trainer?One that charges only 20$ a day, and will push you to the limit
