What are the physical-fitness requirements for Marines Boot Camp?

I want to know the physical fitness tests that you must pass in order to enter the Marines boot camp, and to exit the marines boot camp? What are the physical-fitness requirements for Marines Boot Camp?pretzeldent, that's the truth. i think its funny that everyone thinks their going to look like a pro wrestler when they get out of boot-camp. the reality is you will be skinny, fast, and mean from hunger and training. the worst Marines i knew were the big pumped up ones that i had to constantly berate and kick in the *** about 2 miles into a hump. What are the physical-fitness requirements for Marines Boot Camp?http://usmilitary.about.com/od/joiningth鈥?/a>

check them out. What are the physical-fitness requirements for Marines Boot Camp?Yeah the inventory PFT is pretty easy. It is a very watered down version of the actual PFT.

I "think" it was at least 3 pullups, 40 sit ups in 2 min, and I know its a 1-1/2 mile run in about 12 minutes.

The inventory PFT is pass/fail, if you pass it you can actually go into bootcamp. If you fail it you will be sent to a remedial PT platoon and your bootcamp will last longer.

To prepare for boot you want to do pushups, pullups, sit ups, dips, and run.

Running, sit ups and pullups is what you should concentrate on but pushups and dips will help.

If you are working with a USMC recruiter he can assist you in making a PT schedule based on what you need to work on. That is part of their job. What are the physical-fitness requirements for Marines Boot Camp?
When I joined back in '93 it was run 1-1/2 miles in less than 12 minutes (easy), do 40 situps (easy), and three pullups (easy).

They might have changed it since, but with the current war in Iraq, and the problems they have had filling recruiting quotas - they probably aren't being too picky.

Now, keep in mind that those were the minimum requirements - if thats all you can do, you are going to be in for a rough time in boot camp.

At the same time - the guys who got it the worst were the ones that were all pumped up and showed up with shaved heads (think you're a marine do you boy!?!?!?) - one guy actually had a marines tattoo. He lasted about three weeks, and left crying.
