How is it working at Hollywood Video?

I just got hired at hollywood video, and i start next week. Can anyone tell me what its like working there? Is it laid back? Is it fun? How do you have to dress?How is it working at Hollywood Video?They just closed the one next to me.How is it working at Hollywood Video?
looks like its laid back just probably at the most work is putting away dvd's and stuff and probably doing inventoryHow is it working at Hollywood Video?you will get a uniform. its a lot better than when i worked there as a teen (back in '98). back then we had to wear black shoes, black polyester pants, a white button down shirt and were given a cumberbund and bow-tie. then they switched to vests. now i think its a blue denim looking shirt and kackis, but i might be wrong on that.



as for being laid back, it depends on the store manager. i had one who was awesome, he had rules, but he also knew how to treat employees. he left and we got this horrible woman who thought she had to be everyone's best friend, and she let everyone do anything they wanted, and the store went downhill fast, everyone quit because those of us that actually worked were being taken advantage of, and then she ended up getting fired for ruining the store.



i can tell you tho, at 16, it was a good job. i even learned manager stuff within 6 months.How is it working at Hollywood Video?
it must be easy cause the yhave a complete lack of customer service in any store i've been in. The're 25 cent "protection fee" is a joke, and their stores are closing , at least down here. plus they have no Clownporn section . How is it working at Hollywood Video?It starts off layed back, but the company is going through aot of changes and it isnt cool, your required to sell stuff, games systems, games, candy ,soda and if you dont sell it youll be fired quickly after a month.

the costomers are the only reason why the job is fun, youll dvelope a repour with the people that are there everyday, some costomers are the worst threating you because they have late fees or what have you, just stand your ground and since your just hired call the other employee over for help. Dont be scared of all the work, it looks like alot but after a few weeks it just developes and you wont even notice
