Beginning in the 1970's, slasher films made the themes of crazy serial killers and insane asylums a new part of Halloween. Now it is not unusual for haunted houses, decorations, and horror/Halloween-themed movies to include the theme of insanity.
What is your opinion of this?How do you feel about Hollywood injecting the theme of insanity into Halloween?Well, it's quite a tough question. On one hand, *some* insane people do evil things, and no one pities them for doing evil do they? But still, i'm not sure it's right to make a mockery of them. Maybe it's too sensitive for something as light hearted as Halloween. I think we should stick to the folk law and mystical beings, like witches and banshees.How do you feel about Hollywood injecting the theme of insanity into Halloween?I have honestly never even thought about that. I suppose its rude to be having fun at a sick person's expense. I mean, never in a million years will we see a person dressed up as a cancer patient for halloween. But insane asylums are ok to poke fun at.
