Christians: Is the self sacrifice something you believe in or just that hollywood made up?

So I was thinking that according to your beliefs a person that doesn't believe in god and jesus can't get into heaven. But saying that someone who sacrifices their life for another automatically gets into heaven makes no sense if the former is true as they contradict each other.



So is this something of hollywood's creation or if its not how does it work if a atheist, Wiccan, Taoist, Muslim, Buddhist, Satanist, Scintologists, Sikh, or a person of any other religion sacrifices themselves to save another?Christians: Is the self sacrifice something you believe in or just that hollywood made up?Giving one's life for another is the ultimate sacrifice of self. Hollywood didn't make it up. The lamb of God come down from heaven to die for the sins of the world demonstrated it perfectly, in offering Himself as a substitute sacrifice to obtain forgiveness for the sins of mankind, which has so grievously rebelled against Him.



"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.



Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God鈥檚 wrath through him! For if, while we were God鈥檚 enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
